On my train journey home from Swansea on Friday, I went on an unexpected journey to Cwm Bran and back. I was due to change at Newport but I couldn’t remember where I’d left my luggage and while I was looking, the train started off. Rather lamely, I asked someone, ‘Can anything be done about this?’ Well, no. I had to go to Cwm Bran and back to Newport and then start again.
I’ve never been to Cwm Bran before, so I just decided to gaze out of the window and enjoy the view! It set me back just an hour.
I’ve never made that particular mistake before, but I have made several others while travelling, such as going north instead of south on The London tube.
I’m not too old to make new mistakes. The good news is that I’m not to old to learn, either!
Whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?!
